“Absolutely,” Raymond confidently replies. “She eagerly jumped at my proposal, as if she had been waiting for it. She even kissed me and confessed that she’s had a crush on me for a while.”
Will expresses doubt, saying, “I don’t believe you.”
Raymond challenges him, asking, “Why wouldn’t you believe me?”
“For now, I won’t believe you unless you show her off to us,” Will asserts.
“Well, when we step out holding hands, I’ll prove it to all of you,” Raymond declares, taking a sip of his drink.
“I can’t wait to see that,” Will responds eagerly.
Raymond walks away from his friends, not wanting to hear any more of their mocking.
He approaches one of the girls at the party and starts dancing with her. However, deep down, he feels furious that Kaira rejected him.
He despises the fact that he offered her something he didn’t need to offer other girls but she turn him down.
His mind is so preoccupied with these thoughts that he can’t fully concentrate on the dance.
He keeps stepping on his dance partner’s feet and apologizing repeatedly.
As dawn approaches, everyone returns to their dorms.
Raymond retreats to his luxurious room, attempting to sleep, but his mind won’t let him.
He is determined to prove to his friends that he has successfully won over the most sought-after girl in college.
He couldn’t stop turning in his bed until a wicked scheme emerged in his thoughts.
Smiling, he sat up after foregoing sleep to prepare for class despite having no intention of attending classes that day.
Sitting in his car, he patiently waited for Kaira to emerge from her hostel.
As soon as she did, he hastily take a photo of her and promptly dispatched it along with an accompanying text message to his dad’s men.
He called the telephone number belonging to one of his father’s associates in the Mafia.
Once his dad’s henchman’s phone number began to ring, the man promptly answered the call.
“Sir,” The man on the other line responded.
” find the family of that girl in that picture!” Raymond says.
The person on call responds with an affirmative “yes, sir.”
Raymond withdrew the phone from his ears and grinned mischievously.
He felt happy Kaira will soon become his and that he will prove to his friends that he got the girl none of them could get.
After a couple of hours, Raymond sat in his bed lip syncing a music he was listening to from his cellphone, a call came on his cellphone.
He glances at his cellphone and it was his dad’s men.
“Have you gotten both parents?” Raymond asks.
“We have only managed to capture the mother but her father is currently late,” replied his Dad’s men.
“Fine, I will send you a phone number, put a call through to the girl, threaten to kill her mom in the next twenty four hours if she doesn’t come with the sum of $10 000” Raymond orders.
” Yes sir”his dad’s men replies. Raymond hanhs the call.
Kiara stood beside her study table in her room trying to put the books together then her cellphone rang.
She checked the screen of the cellphone, it was an unfamiliar number, she hesitate before picking the call but then she decided to pick the call.
She places the phone to her ear after pressing on the reciever’s button.
She could hear the screams of her mom begging to be freed.
” Please let me go” she heard the voice and immediately knew it was her mom.
” Mom!Mom!
She was still trying to speak to her mom when she heard a man voice.
” $5000 or she dies, you have twenty four hours to bring the money to us or else your mom will be executed. The call disconnected.
“What..t? The cellphone in her hand fell down. She breaks down and cry .
” $10…….Where will I even get such ount? She said in between her tears.
Her face was streaming with tears.
Raymond checks his wristwatch. ” It’s been over five minutes now, she must be worried about her mom being captured” he says smiling.
He steps out of his room and walk to Kaira’s dorm.
Raymond drove to Kaira hostel with so much joy, he walked straight to her door and knock on her door.
After knocking on her door there was no response , he then opened Kaira’s door and peeped , he saw Kaira sitting on her study chair sobbing.
Raymond felt happy, he knew he had her under his control already.
He rushes into her room, he crouch before her. ” Hey are you alright? Pretending to be concerned.
Kaira bursted into another cry, he pulls her closer to him. Kaira didn’t push him away as he pulls her into his embrace.
” You can tell me what the problem is, I hate to see you cry this way it breaks my heart, it could be a problem I could help find solution to.
“Huh! She exclaimed and quickly pulls away from his embrace, her tears were still dripping. He looked into deeply into her eyes.
Kaira didn’t know if to tell her what the problem is or not, she gave it a thought that he is rich , he might be able to help out.
” My…my mom has been abducted and they demanded a Ransome of $10 000″
” Just $10 000? Kaira look up to him when he call $10 000 just. ” I can help” he says.
